Hi, I'm Adrienne
and I am a culinary enthusiast. I'm a food stylist, prop stylist, food writer, blogger, recipe developer, and a cake and pastry artist.
Basically, my life revolves around food, and I am a 'jack-of-all-trades' when it comes to food and lifestlye.
I grew up in the Philippines, and in 2008 moved to Toronto to begin a new life with my family. In 2011, I graduated from George Brown's Culinary Management Program in the hopes of becoming a chef. I worked in a number of restaurants in Toronto, including The Marriott's Trios Bristo, Rosewater Restaurant and Lounge, Toronto Islands' The Rectory Cafe; I did catering with Toben Food by Design, and I also worked with the Liberty Grand to cater for the Toronto International Film Festivals (TIFF).
Apart from working in the restaurant business, I also had a passion for the pastry arts. So in 2012, I started Cakevana Bakeshop - a baked-from-scratch custom desserts business from home. So if you're ever in need of a cake or custom desserts, you can count on me!
Though in 2013, I found that I no longer wanted to be a chef, although my passion was still in food. So I searched for the next big thing for me, and I found it - Food Styling.
I was hired at THP, a creative and communications agency, as a food styling assistant then evolved to an all around culinary specialist in the company as a recipe tester and developer as well. After a year and a half of hard work, I worked my way up the company and I am now one of their full-time Food Stylists, working with amazing food & beverage and lifestyle brands based all across North America.
But the passion doesn't stop there, I've taken all these creative juices to start my own blog, where I can share my love for food and the adventure and thrills it gives me. Wherever I go, I create fabulous recipes, write fun articles, and share all the great things that food and life has to offer.
So join me and my Kitchen Ventures and let's see where food can take me next.
